Computer Charge Just like any small AA, AAA or C battery, a laptop battery works by creating a electrochemical reaction that sends electrons between the negative and positive terminals. A laptop battery has some features exclusive to it. A laptop battery, for instance, is rechargeable, is composed of many internal cells, has a tiny printed circuit board and is shaped and located in various places depending on the model.
A rechargeable
battery such as the one running your laptop is much more complicated
than the standard battery with no recharged capability because its
electrochemical reaction has to be reversible. If the process of
laptop battery use and electrochemical reaction isn't exactly right
build up could take place at either one of its terminals over an
extended period. Eventually this could cause a short circuit, which is
dangerous.
